BANgLE Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 Hey guys. My 1990 4wd Loyale Wagon is acting a little funny. The voltage meter seems to change with the RPMs while driving. It usually sits somewhere near 13/14 but at times when say I down shift from 4th to 3rd and the RPMs climb high the voltage can spike to nearly 18! The headlights will also become a lot brighter and then get steadily dimmer as I shift back to 4th, 5th, etc. A few things seem to effect the voltage and reflect in headlight brightness quite a bit. BANgLE Posted December 12, 2009 Author Share Posted December 12, 2009 Well, ended up just finding a stock replacement from the wrecker for $30. Swapped it in tonight and everything is running perfect now. Voltage sits right where it should and doesn't change with RPM's. Even feels like it has a bit more pep when driving it.
