December 17, 200916 yr Hi folks, My 88 GL T won't hold static fuel pressure after shutting off engine. I thot' it was my old injectors bleeding down, but the new ones didn't affect it. It goes away rapidly, & after it warms up I have to cycle the Ign. switch two or three times to build enough pres. to start it. I think there's a check valve on the supply side some where but not sure. Advice appreciated. Steve.
December 17, 200916 yr I would search for the check valve in the fuel line but if you can't find it, see if the fuel pump is holding pressure. -kelsey
December 17, 200916 yr And if it is not the check valve(in the pump I think),try the pressure regulator.Pinch a flexible line closed on the supply and return side to isolate the problem. If pressure still drops w/both lines pinched, your injector(s) are leaking.
