Good deal on 2.5 Gallon Jerry Cans

Featured Replies

I found a guy on CL that has new 2.5 gallon metal jerry cans for sale. I got a case, 5 cans with spouts for 110.00, he said he normaly charges 125 for a case. Here is his link

It is a great dimension for on top of your car. Non Carb compliant, thank god. Sorry Californians(?).

I am very pleased with them. He said he has about 50 left. Seems like a

good guy. And a price I am comfortable with.

That's a good deal. :)

I got one without the spout for about $45 from one of the expedition sites awhile back. Non CARB of course.

And the funny thing is the older lever style ones (like what I got and you proly got) seal better than the new plastic screw on cap CARB ones. Go figure.

And 2.5 gal will generally get a Soob far enough to find more fuel.

I have gotten out far enough to use it. (that was a fun trip, 13 hours on trails and backroads, not a soul or gas station in site.)

Those are a great deal, but Im partial to the 20 litre NATO metal fuel cans that Ive been getting for 20 bucks from the local surplus store
