mrairrikk Posted January 26, 2010 Share Posted January 26, 2010 ive got a 1991 subaru loyale wagon 4wd that had some transmission issues, apple coring, and the usual stuff. so i had planned on swapping in a different transmision, and had a 2wd one that i was going to just swap the tail housing out of, well that doesnt work. anyways, i put the old tranny back in , and now it wont move at all. with the vehicle up on jack stands i can spin the wheels by hand in any gear, but the very second i put it on the ground i cant move the car at all. its like the tranny is locked up. it wont engage at all, but shifts thru the gears correctly. what have i missed? ive tried it in 4wd and 2wd. ive actualy replaced the governer with a non apple cored one also , same results. any help would be greatly appreciated.
