January 27, 201016 yr im looking at a gl10 with ea82t 1987 but might be carbed. this will be for an ej swap. could it be as simple and getting a ecu and wiring harness and plugging it in when i make the harness and put the ej in? or is it a big pita process?
January 27, 201016 yr Author i know whats involved with the ea2ej but were any of the ea82t carbed? or were they all mpfi?
January 27, 201016 yr EA82T is a TURBO Engine - if you know anything about swapping an EA to EJ then you should understand the problems in having a carbed turbo engine. While it is possible to set up a carbed turbocharged engine, I don't know of any major production vehicles that have ever had one. Of course, someone will likely be able to correct me on that I've never done an EJ swap, but I have played with a lot of different EA and EJ engines, and let me tell you - doing ANYTHING with an engine first time is a PITA - especially the stripping of the loom etc. There are lots of guides, but to put it into practice is a whole other story. But go for gold, good luck to ya man. I'm sure the guys on here will help out as much as they possibly can
January 29, 201016 yr Author ive gotten alot of help on here over the years especially from GD who also told me all the ea82t are fi and i just picked up a 87 gl10 yesterday with all the options which is the start of my ej22t 5spd dr build! since turbos have been around since before computers im sure theres some carb'd turbos out there

AFAIK there was never an EA82T (or EA81T) made using a blow-through carb setup. EJ22T Will be sweet in a GL10 dude, you will have to flick us some photos of the build!
January 30, 201016 yr Author it will be fun and i will have a build thread forsure. just spent the day making a list of things i need for interior and exterior to make it look a purty. not to mention the 4 hours with a rug doctor cleaning the dirt out of it!
