when im braking hard from a high speed my steering wheel shakes bad. have asked a few people and they have said its the abs kicking in... i know what abs feels like and thats not it. im not slamming on the brakes just trying to slow down fast.

 

i have read the other forums and have seen that is could be warped rotors. could this be the problem?

Try slowing down a bit more gradually and see if the shaking or vibration slows down along with the loss of speed. If that happens, it is most surely one or both of your front rotors that have warped. Once they reach the point of causing that level of vibration, there is almost no hope of having them turned to get rid of the problem. You're probably looking at one or two new rotors.
