oil psi?

Featured Replies

OK well got my rx going 2nd Jen heads with a block that did have under 50k on it but the question is why does the oil psi gage say 75 80 win i start it then falls on its face to 0 at all times? does this sound like a rod?

No. My XT6 essentially has done the same thing for the last 11 years. Replaced the pump and the sender and that changed nothing. The HLAs have never developed the TOD so regardless of what the gauge shows, I know the engine has oil pressure.

are you use stock gauge? i had that problem with my 88 sedan. i pulled the engine and resealed it new oil pump and water pump. and it still would read the same way. so i installed an aftermarket gauge. so now it goes way upon start up once it warms up it drops to around 5 psi. and moves with throttle position now. hope this helps you some.
