What's up USMB!!! Just picked up an 85 GL Wagon last night. Needs a lot of work, but can't complain for $200!!!

I'll get some pics up later on tonight when I get home. I'm very new to subarus (first soobie) but definately not new to cars at all!! I have an Acura TL that I am currently gonna park in the garage while I stroke the engine to a 3.7 :woot:

Anyways, I got this just to drive it to and from work, and for the snow. BUT after lurking around here a bit, I wanna just drive the TL and build the wagon!!! Hopefully I'll get some nice goodies for it here soon

welcome. lots of members in CO - they will probably say hi soon on this thread.

so much to learn about these cars still!!! hate "new" cars :banghead:

For the most part , they are simple to work on and fairly interchangable. For the tough questions you have this board.:)

Yeah, there's just soo much info in here!! I'm going through everything to try and learn everything there is to this car. So far a lot of the things pretty easily interchangeable. I'm looking around for a lift kit right now, and also an engine swap to be able to actually move the thing around lol

So I just found out I am the SECOND owner of this car :banana:

Well that's always good, yeah on my '88 wagon I'm the third owner but the second owner owed it for less then a month. And so far it looks like the original owner took decent care of it mostly becasue when i did a tune up everything was in order and it had the premium cables and plugs that and it only has 164xxx miles.

daily driver for now and hope to make it my transportation into the back country so possible lift for some better tires 185/70 R13 is such an odd size lol.

sweet. i really like the 85-86 subarus, with the chunky steering wheel and the misplaced hazard and wiper! if you upgrade to a different grill i am looking for the honeycomb style

I might this sooby was baby'd the only thing is it has like bb gun holes on the side of it and the rust... yeesh. lol hmm i was looking at some of those groups... there's no Colorado one... funny cause I see a whole bunch of Subarus everywhere I go :P
