last week i got a letter in the mail saying their was a recall on my car. it said the fuel hoses could leak in cold weather causing a fuel smell inside the car. so i took it down and got it back today. when i got their they were closing and i got their just in time. when i went up the road i noticed that the turbo was very quiet i almost thought it wasn't even spinning but my boost gauge read normal. before i took it their it has always made a whinding noise that got louder as the boost increased. i always thought it was normal and it has sounded the same the whole time i've owned it (almost a year) and was in part caused by the short ram intake on it. this is what i was told when i got it. and i liked the sound it made.

now my question is did they do somthing they werent supposed to do or was the whinding noise not normal and was fixed by the dealer when they had it apart. which i think is unlikely because i brobably would have been told about it.

anyone have any ideas on this?

They had to replace the intake gaskets and would have disassembled all of the intake. Possibly there was a leak somewhere and when they reassembled it the clamps were tightened most likely. The car should probably get better fuel economy and be a bit faster.

well thats good to hear. i didn't even know anything was wrong. this is the first turbo car i've ever owned. i'm glad i asked you guys first because i would have probably ended up back down their yelling at them because they broke my car.

thanks for the help
