Discovered it today(1996 Legacy wagon 2.2 auto AWD).Someone on the board is selling 4 springs from a 96-97 Outback and says they fit.Is this just a matter of swapping the springs? Direct bolt on?

I did find the recall..not sure if its still covered.Im the 5th or 6th owner..car has 160,000 on it.It looks as though it was never taken in for the spring guards.Im going to call the dealer Monday to see.
