I have an 84 Brat and am doing the disk brake conversion in the rear. I'm heading down to the local salvage yard and need to know what years are the right cars to look at. I know I have to find turbo models cause that is what had the disk brakes, but need to know what years will work. Thanks for you answers.

any disc brake will work.

 

you can swap min ea82 drums too, at least they are bigger

 

you can also esilt modify a whole ea82 trailing arm to the brat, for example if a bearing was bad, and ea82s are more available

 

2wd discs will not fit a 4wd altogether, but the ROTORS and CALIPERS will fit the same. the hub is different, but unboltable from the rotor

Any year ea81 or ea82 turbo will work as long as it is the 4 bolt lug pattern

ea81 turbo cars have drum brakes unless converted.

Yeah but I am sure he knows the difference between drum breaks and discs.
