  5. what my problem is when i start it on cold morning it's ticking pretty loud until it warms up and then its practicly none existant until the next morning it hasn't got any worse in a year (15,000 miles) i took it to the dealer and they said it it was either a rod bearing or main but why would these quiet after warming i would think they would get loud once the oil thinned out any clues anyone:confused:
  6. i was wondering if my 97 subaru impreza with a 2.2 has hydraulic or solid lifters?
  7. The key to my 97 Impreza L is stuck in the ignition. It can turn and all, but it seems as if the shifter won't go all the way into park or something to release it. Any ideas, or similar stories? Also, the trunk may be stuck shut too. This is a new purchase for us, so I haven't gone all through it. But that is what I've seen so far. Any suggestions? Katrina

  9. Does anyone know how to reset or bypass the factory security module. I have a 97 Impreza L that will not start. (Older cars are my thing!) There is clicking in the dash when trying to start it, that's about it. Any ideas?
  10. who would have been making brushgaurds about 5 years back in california i picked up a brat last week and it came with one that someone had made.the guy said he got it from someone on this site within the last five years or so.
  11. there 27-9.5-15 super swampers and i did have to trim the fenders a little bit like a 1/2" on the back of the fender and i just folded the corner up in the front. i didn't have to trim the rear quarters at all:cool:

  15. the widest i've run in a 13" is a 205/60/13 and it cleared everything fine
  16. come to maine this is ea82 country up here you can't go around a corner with out seeing one i just saved a rust free 86 ea82 3dr 4wd auto. tranny with a blown motor that came into the yard and a rust free 88 2wd ea82 wagon that was a one owner car so just keep looking. look high look low subaru have a tendancy of hidding in the strangest place's:brow:
  17. you've only got a few days before the alt. craps out on you and a pair of tires should run you more than $25 i would think 13" aren't that exp. any way for new ones
  18. you could have a broken brake pad clip that keep the pad from rattling
  19. their not to bad to replace because some of the one i've had to change the oil on i could get the clips out or they were screwed up some how so we would have to take the whole skid plate off to change the oil the hardest bolts to get to are in the wheel well area:madder:
