if i were you i'd stick to pulling the engine a lot less to deal with and it beats laying on your back the whole time that and it's quicker

pull the egr off and see how it looks ihad one do that to me and the egr was all plugged up with cr** that and you got to teach the junky to stop be ungreatful for saving it from the crusher

ea82 wagon good deal or not?
i'd say buy it because more then likely it the final drive gear which take's two minutes to change and back on the road you go quick way to tell is there is a dome cover on the pass. side with three bolts take that off and the piece be hide slides out there a gear on the end if its strip or showing alot of wear then there's your problem jy cost a couple of dollars new there like $35

are you sure those aren't the tranny line hose which means its a universal rad. don't worry fill it and run it

EA82 spare tire
if you don't put 60 lb of pressure in it. it would be like running 15 lb in your full size tire and if you hit a pot hole with it it'll probably bend or blow out

yes they are glued in and the best way to get them out is a utility knife and the hood cable just cut one out of a junk car and make sure you take the windsheild out on a warm day

yes that's the gasket you want you won't have any problem's with it and that cheap normally they go for twice that easily

6 lug conversion
are the hubs strong enough so that if you grind down the hub to properly seat the lugs on a 6 lug conv. that they won't crack or should i weld up the low spots and drill the hubs that way?

loose bolts everywhere ea81...
don't keep tightning the bolts yes it may have slow down but it will make leak worse because the gasket has soak up alot of oil and is going to seperate and split so i'd plan on replacing those gasket soon

they sell a product in a spray bottle that called ice blocker it keeps ice and snow from building up on your windshield for 48 hours i think they sell it at advanced auto

Changing oil
in cold temp. like you don't want to run anything thicker then a 10/30 preferably a name brand oil and purolator is a good brand of filter they make mobil-1 oil filters and if you want a little extra protection add some lucas

Ball Joint? barely driveable
you may need torches to get the bolt out because half the one's i've changed that bolt always breaks and a nice big pair of vice grip's to grab the base of the ball joint and get it turning inside hub then you shouldn't have any problem's
