EA82 knocks when cold
or take a long screw driver and stick it to the valve cover and place your ear on the other end then the same in the center of the block and you'll be able to tell which one it is

Front suspension question
if you have a impact gun then the rear should take about an hour the front if no bolts break it should take about 1-1.5 hours that and you will also need a spring compressor to do both

What might this XT be worth?
considering mile and it being in florida and being 4wd i would say probably about $2000-$2500
-
ball joint or bearing?
the reason it won't make any nose when it's in the air is cause there's no pressure on it but i'd try the balljoint first because the balljoint could be shifting when you turn the wheel

ea81's.. why'd they change em
i've owned both and i didn't see any power difference. plus with the slight increase in hp is compensate by the increase in weight.not to step on any toe but i'd take either ohc or not their both great cars

Silly EA82T coolant problems
if you really want to find that coolant leak go buy a bottle of leak detector from napa and run that through your system for a day. then you'll need a black light where ever there's a leak it will show up as a florescent yellow and go from there. the bottle of stuff is only about $2 or $3
-
Power Window Problem
i'd change the window switch just to see. but like mine the main power wire had kinked and when the door was open the window would work and when it was closed it wouldn't then it finally stopped working totally if thats any help?
-
Engine oil
mobil one is always a good idea unless you have oil leaks because it will find them quicker then regular oil and will make those leaks worse .if so just go with a 10w30 during the winter or put a block heater in
-
Aftermarket Fuel pump's that help Weber's
napa's got a universal one that run's at 5 psi and is like $30-35

hazard melting fuses

-
P/S pump is noisy........should I replace?
if you do replace the pump try and find a 90 or newer loyale so you wouldn't need a puller to get the pulley off
-
hazard melting fuses
if you don't have time to find it you could put a breaker in place of that fuse
-
This is sad...
that and always make sure the filter gasket doesn't stick to the block or you'll be sorry
-
I hate subaru dealerships part 2
