EA81 Coupe in JY

Featured Replies

I found an EA81 coupe in the local PAP.

Dash is cracked, vents are rotted. Seats are toast.

it has a tan interior.

Here are some pics.

If anyone wants some parts, I will be going back there on Monday.

Is there any chance in hell that the windshield gasket and rear window gaskets are in good shape? Im having a devil of a time finding new and if those are still good would that be something you could get? Id pay you for your troubles obviously.

Oh and drivers side window maybe. Not nearly as important as whats above though.

how would I remove them without ripping the gasket?

are the windows held in the the baskets only

carefully lol. When my friend and i pulled a rear window from a rabbit we were able to reuse the gasket. We started by prying the gasket at one corner with me pushing on the window in that corner from the inside and working our way around slowely and carefully. It will pop out eventually but if the gasket is very dry its likely its not going to work. You should be able to see how dry it is just by looking at it. If its bad dont bother. I would use a putty knife or a small flat blade screwdriver but again its all in how you do it cause it could rip.

Another thing..if no one is looking break the window? Not really the nicest way of doing it for the yard though.

I may have just found a set already out of the car. Will let you know. Thanks for post this for everyone though :)
