So I have a 1980 wagon ea71 and I took it out on a small mud trail and kinda slammed it down on the ground a little harder than I intended to getting out of a deep rut. After that my fuel pump has been making a loud clicking sound, I took it out and cleaned all the connections and put it back in. The car seems to be driving fine accept for an occasional hesitation when accelerating. (like its not getting enough fuel) I don't believe its the stock pump either. Is it time to can this pump? I really dont want to get stranded somewhere.
