Sonicfrog
So, it's spring break, and I have a little time on my hands. One project I want to finish is installing the intercooler on Murphy, the $500 87 T-Wag. I have a couple of unresolved questions. (1) If I'm not increasing the boost, do I need to install a blow-by valve? I have one but an unclear if I need it. If I do need to install this, where / how does it hook up? (2) Scoop vs ???? I see that some of you who have installed an IC haven't bothered to install a scoop. I have a fun idea. I was thinking of using the hood vents from an old 280Z. Would look really cool. What tools do I need to cut / prep the hood?
swampbrat
I just scooped my gl10. A unibit and metal blade jigsaw cut it easy. Make sure you absolutely have it where you want it before cutting. You can use masking tape if you are keeping the current paint. Try not to cut into the hood supports. If you attach with doublestick 3m tape ,prep area with acetone to get wax and dirt off.
