Sioux-baru
Update: thanks for the advice, I removed the carburetor and the gasket was in terrible shape, soggy and worn. Under pressure forced coolant into the carb/ intake manifold... new gasket solved that problem and running rough again...have to retune the carb, but thats tomorrow, right now, need sleep -have mid shift 2130-0600... (previous remarks removed.) Thanks, Ken Bellevue, NE Edited April 12, 2010 by Sioux-baru update
rxleone
Is it overheating? Check your inlet manifold gaskets, theres a coolant passage in them thats very prone to leakage and displaying nearly all the same signs as a blown head gasket. Take it off and check, you're gonna have to if it IS a head gasket so get to it!
eulogious
Just for future sake, please post a new reply when there is an update instead of editing the first post. That way if people are looking in the future for the same symptoms, they can see what your car was doing, and then see what you did to fix it. By editing the first post, you lose all the context for your fix, and there is no indication of what was causing your problem :-\ Also, what if they symptoms come back? You will have to repost your original post to get help, or post a new post asking the same thing :-\ Not raggin' on ya or anything, just trying to make it easier for folks to see from what you did to fix your problem Glad you got it working!
