I recently purchased a tranny and got the VIN # and just wanted to check to see what happened to the car...

 

The tranny is off of a 2004 Impreza TS 5-speed manual with 34,000 miles as per the junk yard.

You could try punching in the VIN at whatever site is now my.subaru.com They won't tell you too many details unless you can prove you are the owner of the vehicle but it is another possible source.
