This is an unusual problem; the brake lights work but the high mount doesn't. Looked in the owners manual and looked for possible blown fuse, no luck. Brand new bulbs installed in the high mount lens and still nothing.

this sounds similar to the broken wiring problem which causes the rear wiper not to work. look for bad wires where they move from the wagon body to the hatch.
