June 4, 201015 yr Hi everyone, I need some input from the specialists. Here in Greece there are very few older model Subaru (with the EA81 and EA71 engines). Most EA motors here have been used in VW T2b vehicles. Now to my problem: There are virtually no spare parts available for these engines. A friend of mine just took the EA81 out of his bug, because the distributor came apart and we are unable to source a used unit. Hence my question : which other car (brand) utilizes a compatible (or usable after minor modifications) distributor that can replace the broken one. Thank you for your help. Greetings from sunny Athens, Boris
June 4, 201015 yr If you take a part number off the distributor I think I would have it I have a box that is huge full of them. Not sure how to ship to Greece but I could have the post office help me or my wife could with her UPS account. Not exactly inexpensive to ship I bet but its not a huge box.
June 5, 201015 yr A distributor should easily fit in a medium priority mail flat rate box. International shipping is like $45. Large box, which may fit 2-3 is about $55. Mark
June 8, 201015 yr Author Thks for the answers. I will check the number at the first opportunity. Cheers Boris
