June 7, 201015 yr So my tach has started jumping around pretty bad, and from time to time the car will fall on its face when I start rolling. I would be inclined to think it is the distributor giving me issues, but of course if I open the hood to see if it is the culprit the jumping goes away and I can't put my hand on it to check for vibrations (I swear I am going to catch it one of these mornings.) From what I read on the forum it could be the alternator or coil as well? How do I go about checking before I start buying? oh and if it is the disty, how do I get it out and a new one in with out screwing the timing over? (I am sure it is probably in the forums somewhere, I just didn't find it...)Thanks in advance guys-
June 7, 201015 yr Author Okay, from poking around the forum I think I have confirmed my suspicions... Now how do I switch it out without screwing the timing? Any suggestions, oh and does anyone have a spare sitting around? Thanks-
June 9, 201015 yr Author Update: New one is in. Thanks Travis at Car Quest of Logan for a deal on the new disty.
