2010 Forester engine block heater question!

Featured Replies

Does anyone know why the freeze plug port on the passenger side (turbo recommended side) can't be used for non-turbo installation? If I recall, from looking under the engine a few weeks ago, that it is more accessible (i.e. I could look directly up at it without the exhaust in the way) than the drivers side one. I do believe I'm going to be able to do the drivers side install with the tools I'm gathering but am just wondering if the passenger side could/would be an option?

The only reason I could see it wouldn't work is if it had the oil cooler, but if doesn't I don't see why you couldn't use that side.

Thank You!
