Diagnosed symptoms on Lewy

Featured Replies

Well my roomate took lewy to his shop yesterday and thankfully made it there.

Both axles are worn smooth on the connnection to the hub and the wheel bearings are toast. It is also time for some new brake pads.

Oh Yeah and the axle bolt and castle nut were hand tightend you could spin it with your finger.

What do you want to know, how it happened, or what you should do now? It would be hard to say why it happened, could have been many things, but I suspect that the last person who removed the nuts, didn't tighten them down far enough. I don't remember even touching them when I had Lewy. As for what you will need to do now is replace the axles, bearings and hubs. Front hubs off any EA81 should work. Get genuine Subaru bearings, and get your axles from Florida (if you haven't already).
