Just traded my Ford Ranger for a 1990 Subaru Loyale. I don't know why, but when I got the car, for some reason I pulled the emergency brake just till it got tight, then let it down... I didn't even think it engaged.... But it did just enough for the brakes to rub a little, now they won't let loose.... How would I go about freeing up the E-Brake?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had that issue with my 1992. I had done a 180 in it earlier, and had ripped the ebrake up, and it stuck on there, drove it around smelling burnt stuff, pulled over to RED and I mean RED brakes... So let them cool off, drove it home, stopping at every stop light (that was red) and yanked ebrake up and back down, and then eventually the rubbing stopped...
