July 28, 201015 yr 2000 impreza wagon outback sport is there a cabin filter in my car? ive looked around and its kind of confusing. i see them for sale? but have read there isnt one? havent seen where it would be located.. thanks.
July 28, 201015 yr I think only the higher trim levels came with an actual cabin filter installed from the factory (eg. Limited+). You can add the filter though if yours dosn't have it. On my '02 Legacy Outback you have to pull the glove box, and then pop open a section above the blower fan, been awhile since i've been under there though.
July 28, 201015 yr There may also be another one on the side of the dash board facing the driver's side door - at least there is one on my Outback 03 VDC 3.0L H6. I'm trying to find out if there's another one on our car behind or under the glove box.
July 28, 201015 yr Author hmm i never saw anywhere for an air filter on the drivers side even when i took off the kick panel... ill take a look behind the glove box when i get a chance.. i have the outback sport i thought that was the highest trim level? i didnt know they made a limited on top of that. thanks for the help.
July 28, 201015 yr They were a dealer accessory add on package. I have saw where people have later added them to their cars and it entails some cutting. Example: http://www.scoobymods.com/air-filtration-kit-installation-t156.html?t=156
