i had a warning light come on after six mos. of non use its a yellow <4wd low> light in the dashboard, i have not encountered this before and dont have o manual. some have pointed to the lever near the hand brake, but i think that is hill holder lever, after driving arounf the light went out, but next day it came on again. the car is a wagon 1996 model legacy with an EJ20 engine, manual transmission

 

any help with be gladly accepted thanks

If you have an Aussie or UK model that extra lever should indeed be for a low range.
