okay need some help 06 impreza wont start no clicking or anything seems to have full power jumping, catching in gear wont work. items that come on when key is turned to acc work fine however nothing that requires the car to be running will work ie.. fan motor,headlight dash warning lights etc.. i was thinkin the clutch saftey switch any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance Sean

is it the transponder key or a duplicate key?

same key you have been using?

Same key I ve been using orginal Factory key and remote..

okay so I'm now thinking its the ignition switch since the fan turnsignals and everything else that turns on when the key turns to start wont work and everything else does anyone ever go through this

Bad ignition switch is possible. Doesn't seem common but I've seen a few threads about it, mostly on older cars though.

 

Did you check all fuses and the fusible link? This might also be a bad relay somewhere.
