What's goin' on? I just bought a 1995 subaru legacy L postal wagon for $500, and figured the forums could help where it is needed (and there's alot needed!). I'm new to the boards, and a little gray when it comes to soobs, but I'm not new to them and their many quirks. I've had all my friends who owned subarus (and still do mind you) swear by them and haven't had them hardley ever break. I know how to tear into a project, and so does ricearu. .....Yeah.......I live with the guy. I'll be posting alot more, but for now, I'm goin to bed. Later!

Welcome to the board.

Im assuming (not familiar with Leg's) that the Postal Legacy is RHD?

Sounds like a real treat.

Keep us informed!! I think RHD's are incredible...

Youll find any advice youll ever need on this forum, parts and friends come as well!

Welcome. Yep that a RHD postal wagon. Getting quite hard to find and honestly I would recommend refurbishing it as much as you can and selling it. Thats a profitable car you have there if its not rusted out. Id probably put a low miles used or rebuild transmission in it, reseal the engine, upgrade the brakes to the Outback stuff at a minimum and go from there. Then sell it and get a LHD car with the money. I think refurbished that would bring 4500-5000 pretty easily as someone that does a paper route or mail route would love to have it especially up north in the snow belt.

Sell it? Are you crazy?! (No offense). I LOVE my weird cars! I bought it for the ej20r swap. Cost effectiveness, and fun with staring people = some of the best fun on four wheels!

I was actually wanting to keep the stock steering wheel and dangle a few wires out of the back after I replace it with a racing wheel so my passengers can have some fun! What do you think?

Meaning let them "steer" or "honk" the horn?

What a jerk move  kidding, god that would be freaky to pass if I were another car... Pass somebody on the freeway and throw your hands up from the wheel screaming it doesnt work, and steer left and right as the RHDriver was doing everything...

Hell to see the steering wheel on the left side with no driver would cause a double take.
