So my Buddie has a 04' RS, the head gaskets are starting the ooz, he has been debating about what he should do, he wants to do the franken motor(his is a SOHC) with 2.2 heads, is this possible on a 04? or for more power would cams just be the way to go. And what would really be involved any thoughts?:-\:-\

what mileage did these hg go out?

gonna see LOTS more of the newer ones.....mileage is just approaching the limits before they blow on many of these. Subaru never did get it right i dont think on the ej25.

was it even due for a timing belt replacement?

I think its only got about 70k on it. it is strange that they are starting already, but he also has a nasty tick, I told him to have his valve clearance checked, but I think he just has psychotic injectors:lol:
