I just got finished putting the engine back into my 84 GL and noticed that when it is running I hear a soft humming noise coming from around the passenger side of the rear seat. Is this the fuel pump and if so is it possibly beginning to go out? It is not really that bad but definetely noticeable. Thanks for the advice.

Yup..That's the fuel pump. If you look up under there, just forward of the rear passenger wheel, you'll see a tray. The pump and a fuel filter I believe is mounted on it. The humming is no big deal. But, you should change the fuel filter.

Alright. Thanks for the suggestion. Should I replace both of the filters and if so where is the best place to buy them from. I went to NAPA and they said their system was showing tons of different filter options.
