It's not a 2.5 But based on the Intake and lack of MAF sensor it is likely a 98 or 99. So it is an interference 2.2. I'd pull the covers and inspect before running it at all even for a second. Older ones had the filter mounted on the passenger fender, and had a MAF sensor. It's at least 97.
