MR_Loyale
On my EA82, the screw that holds the rotor in place keeps working its way loose and the car quits. Sometimes it is a few months, or a few weeks. I tighten it down and it still works its way out. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I was thinking I could put some blue loctite on it to hold it in place. Any thoughts?

hooziewhatsit
I believe it was in '87, the distributor shaft was keyed with a flat side. If you can find a keyed rotor, it'll never happen again You can swap the top of the distributor shaft pretty easily. Take the rotor off and look down the shaft and there'll be a philips screw. Then you just have to take the plate off the top of the distributor and swap it out. Before I did that I tapped the screw hole to a big size since mine was getting wallowed out.
