a little help in the biggest little city

Looking for reliable Subaru mechanics in Reno. I have a 98 Legacy 2.5 GT wagon and have been to a few mechanics around town and every time I leave something else goes wrong. If anyone knows a good one in the Reno/Sparks area let me know please!!

My all-time favorite Subaru guru around here is Norm's Auto Repair (Subaru Specialists) in South Lake Tahoe. Excellent work, reasonable prices.

There's another shop I've used once or twice, it's called (IIRC) Independent Auto Repair. He's in Sparks, on Bergin Way just east of McCarran off (IIRC) Greg Street..knows all Subarus well.

I don't think either of them have websites, but both have reputations for excellence.

Just as an additional note: probably the worst place to bring your Subaru is Michael Hohl Subaru in Carson City..their work is OK, but they'll gouge the eyeballs out of you on price.

Please let us know your findings.

Just my 2 bucks
