New wheels for my '92 Legacy ! (pics)

Featured Replies

Got the rims from ShawnW, cleaned them up, got the tires from Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin. Pics from December. THe tires worked really well as snow tires. A little squirmy in deep snow (too wide), but were awesome in slush, or plowed roads. Car is a '92 Legacy L, 2.2L 16v, AWD, 214k miles. Bought the car last April for $1000 at 207k miles. I had to replace the driver's door and fix some fist sized rust holes in the fenders that were covered with duct tape.

She ain't beautiful, but she's a super reliable daily driver.

The door was the wrong color, so I rattle canned the entire side ... still need to do the driver's fender. You can see the lighter, faded color. Fog lamps are Hella 550's. Interior includes a dash mounted CB and police scanner. You can just make out the fake cellular phone antennas on top, by the bike rack.

Red car behind the wheels is my '87 VW Golf Gti 16v, which is my #2 project once I get the new transmission in the black '87 XT 4wd that you can see in the background.
