January 20, 201115 yr Anyone got a link on a guide for it? Just need to replace the old ones because the mounting brakets broke in an accident and the whole assembly has to come out. Apart from the 3 visible screws, what is there? I am doing both sides.
January 21, 201115 yr i just removed one and while i can't recall details it was easy. tried looking it up and somehow it's not in the Body Section of the FSM? goofy. it said "See 6-2" but i couldnt' find that on my digital version. *** edit i was just in the garage and have one in there - just three bolts - two to the right and one on top (as you're facing it). there's one funny looking clip under the left orange-ish skinny part of the light - just under that. dont' remember doing anything there but there is a small white clip for something. January 21, 201115 yr Author yeah, that is what i'm looking at.. alright, i just gotta pull on the old ones then i guess. All 3 screws removed.
January 21, 201115 yr maybe my memory is bad too, i'm more of a figure it out as I go kind of person than worry about all the details before i jump in. but i didn't see any more fixed points than those three on the one i looked at.
January 22, 201115 yr Author if my bumper skin wasn't pushed over like 1/2" i would have had an easy time putting those in. It wasn't terrible to do, they just don't fit in perfectly until the fender gets bashed out and the new bumper cover is on. Figured put em on now though... even though it was -3F and i was in a garage with a space heater designed for a small room blowing on me They're in.. just only mounted about as well as they were before, they're just not cracked to pieces anymore, and i got cable ties in place of a couple screws till they fit in properly. Pulling my bumper skin would have saved me a lot of grief, but i don't have a replacement yet, and i don't think i would have gotten it back on so (missing WAY too many clips).. another day. Car gets fixed up next weekend. I'll be sure to do before and afters because it's my buddy's shop and his work is good.
