Hi there, the name's Cal. I'm 23 and am the proud owner of a recently acquired 82 GL Wagon 4x4 in amazing condition. Rear-ended a Lincoln with my '95 Honda Prelude (first accident ever ) and found the Starship shortly after. I've been working on it with the help and expertise of STI_Wolf (he got me into Subarus to begin with, has taught me so very much, and without him I would be in a world of frustration and hurt). A week into ownership the transmission seized into 3rd gear (previous owner apparently let it run dry, and it was my own fault for not checking it). We were able to install a replacement featuring the most buttery-smooth linkage I've ever experienced, and also replaced the clutch. It's definitely become my main project, I have plenty things to work on, and I'm very thankful that such a wonderful support group exists! You'll most definitely be hearing from me often.

Welcome aboard, that is an awesome looking 82! I have an 82 gl wagon as well, it has been one of the best cars I have ever owned!

WOW! That is one heck of a nice car! I'm jealous! I've got an 82 wagon too but its not as nice as yours. How many miles on it? How much did you pay?

She's about to roll 200k, and I paid way too much ($2,800) but dammit I love her. I've gained so much hands on experience, totally worth it IMO
