Anyone in the Chicago area (Harvey)

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a '96 Outback with the 5spd and a place called the South Chicago Auto Auction of Harvey has one, but I can't get up there during viewing or auction times because it's a 5 hour trip each way. It's worth some $$ to me if someone in the area can go check it out for me and LMK if it's worth it to go buy it. Just PM me or txt me @ 812-three four three- 94 six 2 and we can figure out what your time and expertise is worth. Pics would be helpful from whoever goes.

I have heard very bad things about that auction house vis-a-vis extra fees and general jerking around of consumers. I don't have any personal experience doing business with them, but you might do some google searches to look at complaints before going forward.

the 1996 is not a bad year with the 2.2. If looking at a 2.5 get the timing belt/water pump history, and watch for bubbles in the coolant.

I think that when you are looking for something in Chicago, why not check it out with some chicago auto repair shops that would definitely give you other information with this one. In that way, things would have been very well and it would give you something to ponder about. Hope you can find what you are looking for.
