My 97 5 speed 170000 milkes,rear differntial is seems to be leaking from the top rear, around the two studs mounting the control arms. Are there seals there? Seems an odd place to leak.

I checked the other leaking threads and they are in all the normal spots.

Is the leak above the rear cover plate?

mine did this from the very top.. I think it's because of the little breather at the top.. I've never seen it before until like 2 months ago when I happened to be under the car.

I was thinking that, I have been doing a lot of highway driving. Older Moto Guzzi motorcycles can do this. (I have owned a few)
