My 97 5 speed 170000 milkes,rear differntial is seems to be leaking from the top rear, around the two studs mounting the control arms. Are there seals there? Seems an odd place to leak.

I checked the other leaking threads and they are in all the normal spots.

The rear differential has a vent in that area. If the differential was over filled the last time it was serviced, it's possible for the oil to drain out of the vent on a steep enough of an incline.
