Single range 4wd gear ratios?

Featured Replies

I've been doing some 'net research on the topic, and I'm confused. All the material I can find for '75 to '79 4wd suggests that they had a low range. I was under the impression that Subaru's 4wds didn't gain a low range until the second generation. Maybe the data I've been finding is for a different market, such as Australia. What I need to know is the gear ratios I can expect to find in a U.S. 1st gen 4wd transmission. Thanks a lot!

Somebody will find that info. Its in the factory service manuals for sure.

1976 is a weird year but otherwise they're all about the same. I'll post back if nobody else gets the info.
