April 3, 201114 yr Well I have a '87 GL Wagon, and my heat works great! Only problem, is it only pumps out of the vents, no defrost or floor heat. Any ideas? Thanks, Bryan
April 3, 201114 yr The vacuum tube that supplys the vent switches is disconnected. Check it under the hood (pass side of engine, running to firewall area) and then if it's hooked up there, look up under the dash near the top of the pedals and see if it's unhooked there.

April 3, 201114 yr The hose needs to be connected to vacuum. Look around the passenger side of the intake manifold for where it came unplugged from. It should be under the big air tube that says "SUBARU F.I."
April 4, 201114 yr Author It was unplugged well before I bought the car, and the spot had been plugged. But I found where it needed to go. Thanks for the help! It will be nice to drive to work tomorrow with defrost.
