April 17, 201114 yr Hi guys, I want to replace the bushings on my control arms on my 1987 GL wagon. I have the ones for the radius rods ready to go, but I can't really see the pressed in bushings to verify what I need. Can someone post a link or a Subaru part number for these? Thanks
April 17, 201114 yr I am in the process of sourcing aftermarket bushings. There are part numbers for 'super pro poly' bushings if you can find a vendor. NAPA carries oem replacement bushings, and if you want to try to source urethane bushings, you might get them from energy suspension if you have dimensions. It's worth trying to find if youare going through the labor. you should be able to get apart number from the dealer if you supply your VIN
April 17, 201114 yr Author Right on, thanks Miles. I ordered a bunch of raybestos bushings for my steering rack and radius rods from rockauto. The boxes said raybestos on them but it was a subaru branded part inside with subaru numbers... FYI.
April 17, 201114 yr Author When I do a general search via google for the specific bushing, it always comes up with stuff for a brat or other trim, but not my 87 GL. Is there some sort of difference in the design?
April 17, 201114 yr there were ea81 and ea82 in america from 85-89. to disambiguate, you can try searching for 1990 LOYALE, as these are the same part/design/dimension, but you eliminate the possibility of getting an ea81 part instead.
February 17, 201313 yr FYI, here is a great source. Outback Technolgies USA they have Polyurethane Suspension Bushings http://obtusa.com/ Here are some part numbers for ref, the pricing is about 2years old and please double check part numbers with them.
