GLCraig Posted March 6, 2004 Share Posted March 6, 2004 I'm looking to upgrade from 14's to 16's on my Legacy and I was wondering what tire sizes fit well. Tire Rack shows that a 205/50/16 is the same circumference as then stock 185/70/14 but I'm would rather run a 205/55/16 because there are more tires available in that size. Has anyone tried running a 205/55/16 on their 1st gen legacy? If you have were there any problems. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Legacy777 Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 The WRX uses a 205/55 r16 as OEM size. It will fit on the first gen legacies with the correct offset. With the stock WRX wheels, you can have a slight bit of rubbing on the strut. It's not much, however the chance is there. If you run a wheel with a little less offset then +52mm, the chances of rubbing on the strut should go away. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
