86 XT Turbo-Horn and Cruise Control Out.

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

I'm new to the forum.

I have an Automatic 86 XT Turbo

Here is my problem: I was driving over the weekend and engaged my horn after some rump roast clown blew a stop sign. Well, I guess I engaged the 25 year old device too hard because afterwards my neither my horn or my cruise control buttons on the steering wheel will engage.

The main cruise control switch on the accessory panel and the hazard lights still engage, and the fuses are still intact.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I dismantle and inspect.

Thanks,

-terrance

steering wheel connector/clock spring device is probably hosed if nothing in the steering wheel works. you can remove the steering wheels without any special tools but they are typically tight.

yo terry. If that is the case, i have the parts leftover from my xt partout yet.

Any idea where I could find a diagram of this setup?

I have an 85 FSM for the xt, but it doesn't go into that kind of detail.

You guys are the best!

I can't find this part anywhere??

Do you know what it looks like underneath?

Thanks Gary!
