84 GL Push Rods

Featured Replies

I was able to pull the valve cover and remove the

two broken rods.

Now.

Finding replacements....parts are discontinued,

junk shops in denver are too new (90+)

The 1.8 in the '85 is a bit bigger and different

than the '84. battery is on opposite side,

and no spare tire under hood- definitely different,

and push rods are not at same spot.

any tips or parts cars out there for a colorado local?

please and thanks

I find it hard to imagine that the pushrods would break if there wasn't anything else wrong with the engine, did the valves seize up at all?
