Question for 2010/11 Legacy Owners

Featured Replies

So, fellow 2010/11 Legacy owners;

Is your driver's seat EXTREMELY-MAKES-ME-WANT-TO-TEAR-OFF-MY-FACE-JUST-SO-I'M-DISTRACTED-BY-SOMETHING-ELSE-LIKE-IN-THE-MOVIE-MAJOR-PAYNE-WHERE-DAMON-WAYANS-BREAKS-THAT-GUY'S-FINGER-IN-ORDER-TO-"TAKE [HIS] MIND OFF 'DAT PAAAIIN" squeaky?

Every time I move, turn the car, go over a bump, do anything other than sit there quietly my seat squeaks and creaks. I bought the car a year ago (end of May - brandie new) and this started maybe a month or two after I bought it.

Am I the only one - or is this a new 'feature' (akin to when dirt gets inside the door panel and scratched the windows on pre-'10 models)?

Based on 3 days of silence and only 22 views I can come to the following conclusions:

  1. Only 22 people have purchased new Legacy's
  2. Of those 22 people, I'm the only one with creaky/squeaky seats

leather, cloth, power or manual?

Cloth - manual.

We figured it out over at legacygt.com

It's (believe it or not) the seatbelt. More specifically the bolt that attaches the latch to the frame of the seat. Haven't found a fix for it yet, but sometime this week I'll probably empty out a can of PB on it.
