Just had the A/C recharged for the first time. It is an automatic with just under 170,000 miles. What seems to be happening is the a/c runs perfect until it is kicked into the passing gear. When that happens the compressor stops running until, ?? I don't really know. It cools down? Catches it's breath? Falls asleep?

With 15 or 20 min down time it starts working again.

Any clues?
