Hi everyone,yhis is my first post.I cracked the side mirror on my 98 Forrester.I would like to remove the mirror(non remote) to replace just the glass.Do I remove the three phillips head screws that are under the mirror frame or are there others that I haven't discovered?

No need to remove anything except for the broken glass. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE A HEATED MIRROR BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!!!! (winter package)

Be cautious not to damage the backing plate, which is what the mirror attaches to.

....I don't think the mirror frame is strong enough to carry a laptop.

I would use bleutooth which is connected to your eye ballnerves directly.....
