Fuel in the AACV? (EA82)

Featured Replies

Long story short I accidently snapped one of the brittle nipples on the AACV (active air control valve) yesterday & found this thread - http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115035&highlight=ea82+vacuum - conveniently had exactly what I needed so I set about swapping it for a 'T' piece today.

All lines unplugged fine but I when I pulled out the rear most hose that goes to the rear of the carby a dribble of fuel came out, not heaps & I didn't leave it to see if it kept coming but there was enough for me to be worried. Tipping the AACV up when I took it off & fuel dribbled out as well.

Should there be fuel in there?

Haven't noticed a difference in removing the AACV...don't even know what I should be expecting?
